ENERSENS develops high-performance insulating materials in the aerogel family. Designed and produced in the same site, the aerogels are marketed throughout Europe, either through direct sales to companies or through a network of distributors.

ENERSENS’s goal is to become the European leader in high-performance insulation, thanks to an innovative industrial process that reduces production costs.

As part of the ‘New Industrial France’ plan, ENERSENS has a considerable amount of intellectual property at its disposal, and can draw on the expertise of the world’s top specialists in the aerogel domain. With the objective of improving the company and serving the market better, ENERSENS has partnered with specialists in materials and insulation in order to market products and solutions that are adapted to the different applications.

The R&D centre located in the Bourgoin-Jallieu plant is in constant communication with our research and industrialisation service partners. This enables us to accelerate the process of innovation, as well as to design proprietary manufacturing technology with a higher yield and lower energy consumption. Thus the ongoing improvement to the production system enables ENERSENS to aim for environmental excellence in our processes and throughout our products’ lifecycle.

The Ecole Nationale Superieure des Mines de Paris (Mines ParisTech) is one of the oldest and the best high education and research engineering schools in France. Mines ParisTech has 14 research centers that are specialised in energy and chemical engineering, materials sciences and management, applied mathematics, earth sciences and the environment and economics and the social sciences. Approximately one fourth of contractual activity is conducted with at least one foreign partner. Mines ParisTech works in collaboration with more than 100 countries. In particular, Mines ParisTech participates to a wide number of European education and research programmes and also keeps very close links with companies both in France and abroad.

TROCELLEN ITALIA SPA (Trocellen Italia SPA), Italy

Trocellen_Logo_CompanyDuring the last 30 years TROCELLEN has worked intensively in the insulation business, developing materials able to increase energy efficiency and comfort to satisfy continuous market requests (new building design but also new EU rules, i.e. CE marking), and we keep working on it.
Trocellen has a broad experience on producing blanket, sheet materials for insulation markets: Due to the continuous challenges, we are now able to produce cross linked polyethylene foams (XLPE) in different thicknesses and density and with different physical and mechanical properties but, more importantly we can tailor the foam to the customers’ request. It is possible by adding other chemicals/materials (e.g. fire retardants, fibers, copolymers, functionalized polymers, etc.) or acting on the raw materials properties.
“Trocellen is the European polyolefin-foam-solution provider. Through continuous innovations and successful partnerships we dedicate ourselves to one goal: protecting and comforting humanity.“ We have 600 employees at eight sites and many cooperating companies ( Sustainability and environment are key concerns, our insulation products have been mapped by LEED certification process, we are part of green building councils in Europe.

partner_parexParex Group is part of Materis, a leading global supplier of specialty chemicals for construction markets. ParexGroup is a foremost international dry-mix mortar manufacturer for the building industry which has more than 35 years of experience in the mortars industry.
We have leading positions in Western Europe, North and south Americas, Middle East and Asia Pacific. In Europe, Parex is present in France, Spain, United Kingdom and Belgium. Europe represents around 40% of the sales.
Our cores businesses are façade protection and decoration/ tile setting and flooring materials / technical mortars and waterproofing.
In our façade business, external thermal insulation systems are a key market. Parex markets such systems since 1970. Millions of m² have been insulated with our systems, giving us a high technical expertise. Parex Group proposes nowadays a very complete offer of systems under European technical agreement on various insulating material as EPS, rock wool, wood fiber panels…
Parex Group works closely to the final users (craftsmen, architects, engineering consulting, promoters, and distributors). The Parex technical formation center enables to teach them best practice.

partner_flagFlag S.p.A has been founded 50 years ago with the name Flexon Italiana. In collaboration with the group Montecatini Edison it starts manufacturing synthetic materials for the agricultural sector, specifically waterproofing membranes for polyethylens tunnels, protected cultures and kit for quick waterproofing of water containing areas.
In 1970 the company changes its name into Flag S.p.A and increases its business areas. Thanks to Flag S.p.A synthetic PVC membranes are introduced in Italy for industrial roofing and the first examples of underground waterproofing start to be conveived. The success is immediate and allows the company becoming a undebated market leader. Since then Flag S.p.A. has continued developing and proposing innovative waterproofing solutions that respond to the most demanding technical requests worldwide.
At the end of 2007, FLAG Spa enters the French group Soprema leader in the production of roofing and waterproofing materials, thanks to the collaboration of 4.496 people all over the world and a turnover by 1.497 million Euros in 2012.
The principal objective for Flag S.p.A is to develop solutions in order to increase thermical insulation efficiency of systems based on multi-layer membrane/insulation for roofing applications.
